To get what you want from life, you must take it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was born into a rich family. Valida was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Valida decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Personality: She likes to be helpful to her clients. She likes to prescribe proper advice to her clients. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: Gifted from a young age, Tippletoe studied abroad. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Farmer.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Valorean grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Valorean. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
