History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gorfel was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Gorfel alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Gorfel was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.

She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
