History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and doesn't want to be a cook and was forced into it by her family

Personality: She hates giants. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage son.

History: Born in the east her family was never financially stable. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Emerald alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.
