History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. At a young age her father died while driving off some dire rats. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in crossbow use. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Pijjirik was born with his mother's beautiful face. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.
