History: Varis hails from a village terrorized by giants. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Animal Trainer.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around his neck, and a hand crossbow on his belt. He has no crest. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: Birel wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Warlock, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She is stubborn though. She always likes to keep a trick up her sleeve. She likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if she feels she even has a chance of losing.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She now mingles about in high society.
