History: Born in the north to a Mortician, River learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He worked as a nervous Mortician and found it very stressful. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Verna's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.
