History: Mara was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Elves in the south were limited. After a long history of fighting, Mara and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and she is wracked by social anxiety

History: Olgoth was born with his father's beautiful face. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Olgoth alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has never given up on his music dream.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and many illithids want him driven away
