History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Jak was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Her psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Hecat liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating she would invite many more into her home than her spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. She takes great joy in being the best Barkeep in town.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Paela was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was granted arcane powers by her dying sister.
