History: Arara hails from a village terrorized by brigands. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Description: He is an attractive man, lean and moderately muscular. He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His black hair is smooth and relatively long. His gold eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Balam grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Description: This northern woman prefers to wear black pants and tee shirts. Her clothes are grease stained in places. Her bronze crest is unkempt and raggedy. Her eyes are likewise gold.

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Surina is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born in the north. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Butcher hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered singing. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she is unsatisfied with her job

Description: His right thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He wears a tight fitting white shirt and pants. His hair is long and white with streaks of brown, and is pulled back with small white clips. His beard is brown, braided, and well cared for. He wears an eyepatch.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To pay off his debts.
