History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Volen was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: He wears tight fitting pants and leather jackets. He usually doesn't wear a shirt, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 6'2" when asserting himself. His brass crest is unkempt and raggedy. His red eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Kerkad was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and wants to raise his children well

Description: This western man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He is wearing a long, red cloak. His golden hair and beard is wavy and long. His blue eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Ostracized due to the divine powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats.

Description: A thin man, he clearly needs to put on some weight, but he still has a lot of muscle. He tends to wear a pastel poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. He keeps his brown fur in a pixie cut. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His first spouse was a Stableman, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Stableman they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Layabout, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. He takes great joy in being the best Shoemaker in town.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Traki grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Traki. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Shoemaker.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and a rival would like him out of the picture
