A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has worked as a Gardener like his mother before him.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
