History: Mella was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
