Description: 5'7" and muscular, this southern man is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright black and brown, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His hair is chestnut and curly. He has gleaming, smiling blue eyes.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: The child of a Courier, who enjoyed hunting, Shaká was taken on many hunting expeditions. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. She is bald on top and has large white tufts of hair around her ears. She has violet eyes and a blue hat with a black feather.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Oppah embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. She worked as a nervous Roofer and found it very stressful. She's also a talented Adventurer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He became a Navigator soon after.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and to reunite with his absent mother

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He usually wears his grey robe and has his sickle always slung over his shoulder. His brown hair is heavily combed to the left. His gray eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born in the north to a Mercenary, Gerard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and retire the richest man in the north
