Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. The war was a terrible time for him, and Oren does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Oren was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is a Herbalist first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Born in the south to a Herbalist, Ernest learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has worked as a Layabout like his father before him.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to be a miller again

History: The child of a Performer, who enjoyed hunting, Shamil was taken on many hunting expeditions. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. Flattery will make her almost putty in your hands.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She became a Engraver soon after.
