History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Mara was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Through the years after Mara was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Mara's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
