History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Layabout arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Kiirith alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Hrathy lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her childhood dream was to be a Layabout, but she was a colossal failure. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Hrathy was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
