History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Doctor arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His necromantic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it; and many dire rats want her driven away
