History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He became a Shoemaker soon after.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and balancing his hectic life and new shoemaker responsibilities is difficult

Personality: She is cool and collected. She likes to make quips and puns whenever she does anything. She also makes a point to compliment her superiors and flatter them. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Engraver but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She is greedy; and she is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out

Her blue eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes giants are coming to abduct people. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it
