History: Althaea was born the youngest of three triplets. The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Cartwright responsibilities is difficult.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
