Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. The war was a terrible time for him, and Shamash does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Shamash grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
