Description: This southern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He is dressed in earthy colors with a brown and green handkerchief worn on his left side. His golden hair is knotted and matted. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.
Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.
History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end; and he has passion for adventuring and risk

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: He was raised in a desert tribe. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and to share knowledge with the world

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He is wearing a perfectly clean shirt and pair of pants. His white hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.
Personality: Theodoric is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.
History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Theodoric was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Theodoric was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.
Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Beneath her sweater she keeps a concealed crossbow, just in case. She sports a flattop hair cut. Her eyes are a pleasant green.
Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She passes on several rewards to people in need. She makes a point to leave places better than she found them.
History: Joan was born with her mother's beautiful face. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
