The orcs captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Fortune-teller. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Faran was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Sage. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
