History: He was raised in a plains tribe. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He tends to his Stableman job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and balancing his hectic life and new stableman responsibilities is difficult

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Pirithin was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Pirithin's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: She hates giants. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
