To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Anselm. After a long history of fighting, Anselm and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She got into the Sage business at a young age. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: Vadania was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Tiefling companion (her 'brother'). She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and balancing her hectic life and new crown-heir responsibilities is difficult

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Shanairla has worked very hard to control her curse. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born in the east. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.
