History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
