History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Through the years after Valorean was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Valorean's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Caramip abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.
