History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His childhood dream was to be a Beggar, but he was a colossal failure. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 8 years.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Carter responsibilities is difficult.

History: He was born in the west. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bellfounder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Guard they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Bellfounder, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and an old rival family wants him found

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Born in the west to a Stableman, Phelaia learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Stableman.
