History: He comes from a rich western family. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She was born into a rich family. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Scribe. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Naeris alone in the world.
