Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered music. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Gnomish people.

Description: He is in excellent shape and wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with Stetson hat. His brass crest has been sun bleached extensively. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. Kaladan is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the south. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Courier. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 2 years.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Courier responsibilities is difficult; and someone believes her a fraud
