History: He was born on a small isolated farm. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Tomi took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up greatsword and armor he uses now. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Iados was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Iados fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Ulla grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Gardener for hire.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she desires power and/or immortality

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved.
