Description: A thin man, he clearly needs to put on some weight, but he still has a lot of muscle. He wears suspenders and pastel workpants. His shirt is violet, and he wears a heavy pastel leather apron most of the time. His beige fur has been sun bleached extensively. His green eyes peer out from beneath his feathered pastel hat.

Personality: Smoking is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has never given up on his music dream.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.

Personality: He hates Gnomes with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken from his home at a very young age. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Painter they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Map Maker, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Elves in the east were limited. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
