She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

Valida's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Banker arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
