History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Shanairla alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered music. He now mingles about in high society.
