History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Courier. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it.

She is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with her old comrades. She has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Ranala hails from a village terrorized by giants. At a young age her father died while driving off some giants. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in shield use. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
