Her shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for her due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. Her hair is always cut to a buzz. Her blue eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She is a thrill seeker, she laughs at people and throws down challenges. She is highly competitive and combative.

History: Melissa was born with her mother's beautiful face. Melissa was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Melissa decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

She married young, but lost her spouse to goblins. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and many goblins want her driven away
