She was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying east to reunite her family. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it
