History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: The child of a Engraver, who enjoyed hunting, Joan was taken on many hunting expeditions. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital.
