To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Elizabeth. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was born in the west. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. In her 12th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. During her travels, Wella and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Wella discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Wella fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
