History: Ekk lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

She tend to wears goggles to shield her eyes.

Personality: She misses her glory days as an athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: When she was but 6 years old her parents immigrated from the north. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to her current location. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

History: Nelkin was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.

Personality: She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with her big mouthed big gutted partner. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: Tawna was born with her mother's beautiful face. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality.
