Personality: She hates gnolls. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Tabaxis.

History: Emerald was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when she was still a young child. The gnolls captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town.
