History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and wants his loneliness to end

History: She was born in the west. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, giants burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying west to reunite her family. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Barrister. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
