In the process these unassuming Tieflings became a terror of the countryside. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He married young, but lost his spouse to dire rats. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he loathes his own lifestyle

He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. Duergath was born on a far northern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Sailor. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
