However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

History: Justin was born the youngest of three triplets. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: Born in the west to a Hunter, Nogu learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. She tends to her Hunter job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and halfling compassion
