Motivation: Marry her brother to traveling adventurers; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and she desires to right it

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Through the years after Tatyan was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Tatyan's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
