History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her first spouse was a Actor, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty tan coat over it. His hair, while still mostly silver, has prominent grey streaks. He has gleaming, smiling amber eyes.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He disdains his fellow easterners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Rimple was born the youngest of three triplets. When Rimple reached his early adolescence his Gnome mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: Ilga hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her writing career. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Ilga lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
