Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Ahrim was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Sellsword hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

His mother taught him the rudiments of the Marshal arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.
