History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His necromantic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: Born in the east her family was never financially stable. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has dedicated herself to building a better world.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Burgell was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Burgell's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to end his boredom
