History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Tana was born on a far western forest where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Shepherd. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and she is greedy

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Astaro was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A gifted student she started as a Brewer, but she got bored and became a Engraver. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Engraver.

Motivation: To be a Brewer again; and she is unsatisfied with her job

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Nim alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Nim was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.
