History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. Personality: She thrives on attention. She does whatever is in her power to gain the attention of whomever she deems a fit date. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: She was born into a rich family. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying south to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Kerkad has worked very hard to control his curse. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Elves.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Soveliss alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Half-Elven people; and many illithids want him driven away
