Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Mastema's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Ruler profession.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She's also a talented Ruler, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To be a Ruler again.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Zook lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He dropped out of school to support his sick mother, and resented it. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter.

Personality: She is happy with her job as a Sage. She turns her eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.

History: Andraste was born with her mother's beautiful face. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Sage work with an outfit from a few towns over. Sage work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers.
